These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of MenuVision, including our mobile application, related websites, features, content, subscriptions, scan credits, visual guides, and other services.
By using MenuVision, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use MenuVision.
1. What MenuVision Does
MenuVision helps users understand restaurant menus, dishes, wine lists, ingredients, flavors, translations, and representative food visuals.
MenuVision may provide menu scanning, dish explanations, menu translation, wine list analysis, wine style and taste estimates, representative dish visuals, user-saved dish photos, community dish photo contributions, shareable dish cards, scan credits, subscriptions, and in-app purchases.
2. Informational Use Only
MenuVision provides representative and informational guidance. It does not guarantee that any explanation, translation, visual guide, wine estimate, ingredient description, or restaurant context is accurate, complete, current, or specific to the exact dish served.
Actual dishes may vary by restaurant, chef, region, ingredients, season, preparation method, and availability.
You should use your own judgment before ordering food or wine.
3. Allergy, Dietary, and Health Disclaimer
MenuVision is not a medical, allergy, nutrition, or dietary safety service.
Do not rely on MenuVision to determine whether a dish is safe for allergies, dietary restrictions, religious requirements, medical conditions, pregnancy, medication interactions, or other health-related needs.
Always ask the restaurant directly about ingredients, allergens, preparation methods, cross-contamination, and dietary suitability.
4. Accounts
MenuVision may allow anonymous use and may also allow you to link or create an account using email or other authentication methods.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity under your account.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, misuse the service, attempt to abuse scan credits, upload prohibited content, or interfere with MenuVision's operation.
5. Subscriptions, Scan Credits, and In-App Purchases
MenuVision may offer free scans, rewarded ad scans, scan packs, and paid subscriptions.
Purchases made through the iOS app are processed by Apple. Apple's payment, cancellation, and refund policies apply.
Subscription features, scan allowances, pricing, and availability may change over time. Unless otherwise stated, scan credits may be used for supported menu, dish, or wine features; scan credits have no cash value; scan credits are not transferable; we may correct scan balances affected by errors, fraud, abuse, or technical issues; and rewarded ad scans may be limited by daily, weekly, or other caps.
You are responsible for managing subscriptions through your Apple account settings.
6. User Content
You may submit, upload, save, or share content through MenuVision, including menu photos, dish photos, notes, restaurant context, and other information ("User Content").
You retain ownership of your User Content, subject to the license you grant below.
You are responsible for ensuring that you have the rights to upload and share your User Content.
7. License to User Content
By uploading User Content to MenuVision, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, process, display, reproduce, modify, create technical derivatives of, and use the content as needed to operate and improve MenuVision.
If you choose to contribute a dish photo to MenuVision, you grant us permission to review, publish, display, and use that photo as part of MenuVision's shared dish photo catalog, including showing it to other users as a representative example of a dish.
This license continues for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the service, maintain shared catalogs, comply with law, and preserve legitimate business records. You may request removal of content by contacting us.
8. Photo Contributions
If you choose to contribute a photo to MenuVision, the photo may be automatically or manually reviewed. Approved photos may be visible to other users. Photos may be associated with a dish name, restaurant, or place context. We may reject, remove, hide, or reclassify photos at any time. We do not guarantee that contributed photos will be published or remain available.
You must follow the MenuVision Photo Contribution Policy and Community Guidelines.
9. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to upload illegal, harmful, abusive, explicit, hateful, or discriminatory content; upload photos of people without permission; upload images containing personal information, private documents, payment cards, IDs, addresses, or confidential content; upload copyrighted photos, stock images, web images, or other content you do not own or have permission to use; misrepresent a dish, restaurant, wine, or contribution; abuse scans, subscriptions, rewards, promotions, or refunds; attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, overload, or interfere with MenuVision; use MenuVision to build a competing dataset or service without permission; circumvent security, moderation, payment, or access controls; or violate applicable laws, platform rules, or third-party rights.
10. AI-Generated Content
MenuVision may use AI to generate menu explanations, translations, wine notes, taste estimates, visual guides, and other outputs.
AI-generated content may be incorrect, incomplete, outdated, or inappropriate for your specific situation. You should verify important information independently, especially allergens, dietary requirements, pricing, availability, and wine details.
MenuVision Taste Estimate is not an official critic score, Vivino rating, Wine-Searcher rating, or professional wine review unless explicitly labeled as coming from an official or licensed provider.
11. Third-Party Services
MenuVision may rely on third-party services, including Apple, Firebase, Google, Google Places, Google Cloud, AI providers, RevenueCat, AdMob, and others.
Your use of third-party services may be subject to their own terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party services, data, outages, or decisions.
External links, such as links to wine search tools, are provided for convenience. We do not control or endorse all third-party content.
12. Service Availability
MenuVision may be unavailable, delayed, limited, or inaccurate due to network issues, third-party service outages, AI provider limits, billing or quota issues, maintenance, device limitations, or other factors.
We may modify, suspend, discontinue, or limit features at any time.
13. Intellectual Property
MenuVision, including its design, software, branding, visual system, and related content, is owned by Giiim or its licensors.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or exploit MenuVision except as allowed by these Terms or applicable law.
14. Termination
You may stop using MenuVision at any time.
We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, create risk, misuse the service, infringe rights, or cause technical, legal, or security concerns.
15. Disclaimers
MenuVision is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of accuracy, reliability, availability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not guarantee that MenuVision will identify every dish, translate every menu accurately, provide correct wine information, or show the exact appearance of a restaurant's dish.
16. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Giiim and MenuVision will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, personal injury, food-related issues, allergic reactions, dietary mistakes, restaurant disputes, or reliance on AI-generated information.
17. Apple Terms
If you use MenuVision on iOS, your purchases and subscriptions are handled by Apple. Apple is not responsible for MenuVision's content, support, or claims, except as required by applicable App Store rules.
18. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we may notify you through the app or by other reasonable means. Continued use of MenuVision after changes become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
